Shane Hodge of 1KM.

My journey behind the lens began in 2011 with a borrowed Nikon D3100 — shooting sneakers, directing friends, and discovering the power of imagery back in eighth grade. What started as curiosity quickly became purpose. After graduating, I continued to sharpen my eye, drawing inspiration from street culture, cars, and the raw energy of 90’s nostalgia.

My work sits at the intersection of fashion, portraiture, and culture. I’m drawn to low angles and natural emotion — using perspective, movement, and light to give my subjects presence, confidence, and quiet dominance within the frame. Each image is approached with an editorial mindset, balancing intention with authenticity.

That visual language became the foundation of 1kMoments.

Every person experiences thousands of moments in their lifetime — beginnings, transitions, emotions, and milestones. Photography gives us the power to pause those moments and elevate them into something timeless. This approach allows me to create work that feels lived-in, yet refined — equally at home in editorial spreads, campaigns, and personal archives.

1kMoments is about capturing any moment, in any space, at any time — crafting images that can be felt long after the moment has passed. Seeing clients connect with the work we create together is what keeps me inspired.

Because moments fade —
but images live forever.
